The trip had its ups and downs, but I loved my month in Europe. I went to Ireland, Wales, England, and France. I saw the homes of famous authors and poets like Jane Austen, William Wordsworth, and Shakespeare; I saw the castles and palaces and the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower... Obviously awesome. However, I have decided that I will never travel with a huge group of people again. It stressed me out, and I wasn't even in charge. I don't know how those professors do it, but they are amazing!
Things lacking on this trip that I am grateful to have again:
- Drinking fountains
- Rubbish bins (garbage cans)
- Public restrooms with paper towels, more than one working hand dryer, and (in some cases) toilet seats
- My cell phone
- Salad dressing
- Deoderant (really only a problem on the crowded Metro on a hot day)
- Washer and dryer
- Good chocolate
- The Louvre
- Cute Irish guys
- People who think I'm cool just because I'm American
- Tarts, unbaked chocolate, and other delicious pastries
